A Bit About PrimalxHearts & PrimalxHearts2

I actually had most of this written up a while back, but then I got distracted with Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, which took like 60 hours. Highly recommend the series btw; more so than the game I’ve written about here.

For the stuff about the original Primal Hearts, I’ve mainly writing it off memory. So for those who have played the game, please let me know if I have made any errors.

Aero-ge Review: Evenicle

I don’t really have an eroge planned f until Primal Hearts 2 in August, so I thought I would write up something for Evenicle. Now this is actually the first time I’ve ever written about a game that has actual game-play, so don’t go expecting too much from me =3

The creator of the world, the Holy Mother Eve, gave two commandments: one must not kill another human, and one must only have one partner for life. However, knights are exempted from the latter divine rule, so that they can produce powerful offspring to fight against monsters. Somewhere in the land, there was a young man Asterisk who wished to marry the beautiful twin sisters who raised him. He decided that he will become a knight and get lots of wives! Thus, he set out on his journey with great enthusiasm and ambition.

Aero-ge Review: PURE×CONNECT

Wow, this place has been weirdly active recently. I mean, four blog posts within a month? That’s our yearly quota done =D

Anyway, Smee is one my favourite companies, and I’ve really enjoyed their previous titles. Naturally, I had high hopes that the company would deliver another high quality slice of life game with PURExCONNECT. Did this happen?

Not really, but kinda.

Hayato has yearned for a heart-throbbing romance for a long time, but instead is bored wasting away time every day. He wishes to fall in love like in an eroge, but everyone around him just makes fun of him for it. But that’s what every guy wants, right? Is it really so wrong to want such a relationship?

In the middle of November, a small chance appeared when he was asked to work part-time at the popular bakery restaurant, La Pivoine. Finding himself in a situation he never imagined being in, he thought to break free of his current norm. He agreed to work there and acquainted himself with the staff: Sora, his osananajimi who has no interest in falling in love; Shiho, the store manager whose lover is her job; Moemi, the moodmaker part-timer who treasures her family over all; Arisa, his kouhai who hasn’t found her ideal partner; and, Ayumi, his cousin who is still early for love.

Finally, he takes the first steps towards his own love.

SON OF A…Witch? – A Review on Sanoba Witch

I’ve finally set up my VNDB account. It’s pretty much the same as the list here on the blog, but it has ratings. Note that I didn’t put much thought into those ratings, so the accuracy is questionable.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve written a review, so I can’t vouch for the quality. So if you have anything bad to say, THINK IT, but then write the opposite. If you do that, I won’t have any idea which of the good comments are genuine, and I’ll be left paranoid.

Shuuji has a secret: he is able to perceive the feelings of others. His classmate Nene also has a secret which she cannot tell anyone: she involuntarily gets sexually excited. One day, he accidentally came upon her masturbating and since they both knew each other’s secrets, they soon became close friends. He then found out that her condition is a by-product of her witch’s contract.

Nene’s secret activities as a witch also pull in kouhai Meguru, senpai Touko and transfer student Tsumugi. The peaceful days become quite hurried and Shuuji has a slight feeling that something is about to begin.

It has become the norm that Yuzusoft makes OPs that are mostly animated. This OP wasn’t bad, but as far as OPs go, I still prefer the one they made for Dracu-Riot.

Getchu 2014 Rankings

It sure has been a while since I last posted something here. Though in saying that, I don’t see any of the others around, so yeah =D

2014ranking_title2

So Getchu 2014 rankings are out. Last year for the 2013 rankings, I somehow managed to get all the guys together (Aedes, Fuzzyhobo, and Aqua) to contribute to a post. Sadly, I can’t be stuffed doing that this time, so you’ll just have to settle with me.

Thoughts on Majikoi A-4

This post contains major spoilers for this game, so proceed at your own risk.

So it’s time for the long awaited A-4 disc which holds routes for Rinchuu and Homura. I’m sure a lot of people were looking forward to this disc because it they focus on the characters from the west and those that are part of the “Ryouzanpaku”. Both these groups of characters made their biggest appearances in Majikoi-S, and have since been briefly scattered about the other discs in the A-series. However we look into that side of the world in a lot more detail in this disc.

A Ero-rant: Yakimochi Stream

I have been very inactive as of late for various reasons. One of the reasons is that I’m currently working full time, so my free time is now limited. Also I haven’t really been playing all that much eroge recently either when I DO have free time.

A couple of weeks ago I started reading the manga Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, and it left a very deep impression on me. It made me pissed off as hell, but it does so in a unique way that makes it awesome. So for the first time in a long time I found myself repeatedly re-reading the chapters of a manga. Unfortunately only 8 chapters are out atm, so re-reading had its limits. I later found out that the series originated from a web novel, which is in Japanese. Normally I avoid reading things with large amounts of text when there are no pictures, but I made an exception. And THAT is what has been taking up most of my time lately.  However, I put my web novel reading on hold to play Yakimochi Stream.
