[NSFW] Taimanin Yukikaze 2 Review

I am really sorry for being inactive(シ_ _)シ, but I was just too busy with other activities. Actually, the truth is that I had written an “interesting” post, but I chickened out at the last minute and decided not to post it. I definitely don’t want Amaenboda to turn into a creepy blog (/ω＼). Perhaps, one day I may get around uploading that article, but that is a completely different story.

However, just like how I was planning to publish that post in the beginning but never made it in the end, this one is exactly the opposite. I did not plan to review this game, Taimanin Yukikaze 2 (対魔忍ユキカゼ2), until I finished it yesterday at two in the morning. I believe just from that sentence itself, you can tell that my response to this game is very positive. So without further ado, let us get started.

Opening

Story

In the first Taimanin Yukikaze game, Yukikaze who were trying to find her missing mother penetrated the underground world with Rinko under the guise of slave prostitute(奴隷娼婦). Naturally, they were subjected to many physical and mental tortures. However, unlike the bad endings that you got at the end of Taimanin Yukikaze 1, the prologue of the second game told us that Yukikaze and Rinko were saved by Asagi barely in time, conveniently with their virginity intact.

Obviously, getting them out of the slave prostitution organization did not undo Yukikaze and Rinko body modifications and brainwash suggestions. It was lucky that these changes were reversible with the help of Professor Kiryuu, the main protagonist of Taimanin Murasaki. During one of many reversing processes, he extracted mysterious microchips from their bodies which autoformat upon being analyzed. In order to get hold of information and samples of this chip, Tatsurou was ordered to infiltrate an elite high school, together with a fellow taimanin called Kousaka Shizuru.

With Tatsurou’s wind element concealing technique and Shizuru’s lock picking skill, they managed to land their hands on an encrypted document from the headmaster’s office. This document required a special reading device which unfortunately were nowhere to be found. Further investigations revealed the existence of a hidden two-storey building within a forest near the school perimeter.

Sneaking inside the building was a piece of cake with Shizuru trap disarmament skill, at least until the appearance of a spider cyborg guard. Although both of them were taimanin with special powers, they were covert mission specialists. For this reason they decided that it was only appropriate to retreat for the time being and requested for a combat specialist reinforcement.

Depending on your choice, that reinforcement will either be Yukikaze or Rinko.

Character

Do I need to go through the characters (´･＿･‘)? I think most of you guys already know who they are.

Mizuki Yukikaze

Tatsurou’s crush and childhood friend who has the ability to wield electricity as her weapon. If you have chosen to enter Yukikaze-NTR route, She would be dispatched to join Tatsurou and Shizuru as a combat specialized reinforcement. Yukikaze entered the school as an elite scholarship student since her entrance examination score was extremely high. Elite students in this school had their classes in a different building which was off-limits for normal student like Tatsurou. Besides that, an elites student would also be assigned one opposite gender attendant to take care of their daily needs. In Yukikaze case, a fat middle-aged alumni who was hailed as a legendary butler, was appointed as her personal servant.

Akiyama Rinko

If you find the big boobs, blood related, elder sister, NTR route more interesting, don’t be worried. Unlike the previous Taimanin Yukikaze which only has a few Rinko hscene, this time around, she get her own route that is comparable in length with Yukikaze’s. If Mizuki Yukikaze entered as an elite scholarship student, Akiyama Rinko infiltrated the school as a maid-apprentice. Unfortunately for her, Rinko was assigned to serve a delinquent called Kuroi Ryuuji, who happened to be a relative of the school headmaster.

Kousaka Shizuru

A wood element jutsu user who were also skilled in lock picking, trap disarming and information gathering. Character wise, she can be described as a playful and slightly sadistic older woman who like to sexually teased tatsurou. She assumed the role of a teacher in this elite high school.

My Impression

First, I would like to address a certain rumor about how people are disappointed because the new heroine, Kousaka Shizuru, steal too much spotlight from their delicious brown flat-chest Yukikaze. This, in my opinion, are both true and false.

Black Lilith design this game such that a player has to play through the whole game on normal mode first (Tatsurou’s point-of-view), before he is allowed to take a peek at the scenes behind the stage. Unfortunately to many, during this normal mode, there are more interaction with Shizuru-sensei than with Yukikaze/Rinko. However, once you enter behind the scene scenario, Shizuru barely get any screen time at all. In fact, in total, she only has one long non-NTR hscene(3CGs) and two NTR 3P scenes, one with each of the other heroine.

If you look at getchu page for the first Taimanin Yukikaze, you can see at the product introduction section that Black Lilith were trying to market this game as an NTR game. Personally speaking, although I did enjoyed the game a lot, I do not think they have successfully deliver the NTR contents that they promised. The main problem with Taimanin Yukikaze 1 is that, Tatsurou, our main male character was not even involved until the very end.

Four years later, Black Lilith finally decides to give us this, the Taimanin Yukikaze 2. As I have explained above, the players are now forced to watch events being unfold from Tatsurou point of view first, before they are allowed to view it from the heroine side. I see this as the biggest improvement as it really brings out the NTR feel that is absent from the first Yukikaze. All in all, I think that all the pain of waiting and hype I went through after reading the announcement for this game three months ago, feel really worth it, considering how satisfied I am right now.

Closing

I don’t believe that I actually manage to finish this review in one day. Usually, writing a review would take me at least one week because I suck at sorting and expressing my thoughts. Also, despite of having written many articles on corruption, this is actually my first review on a hardcore corruption eroge (〃￣ω￣〃ゞ
